Experience Works operates the Corporation of National and Community Service funded program in St Lucie County. A part of Senior Corps, RSVP is America’s largest volunteer network for people 55 and older, with more than 300,000 volunteers impacting communities nationwide. RSVP volunteers choose where they want to volunteer, along with the type of work and number of hours. They also receive insurance for the time they are volunteering and are recognized for their service through annual volunteer appreciation luncheons.

Flexible hours. “The Treasure Coast Food Bank is seeking dedicated volunteers to help manage the front reception desk. This volunteer position will be responsible for handling front office reception and administration duties as assigned, including greeting guest, answering phones and handling company inquiries. Training for this position will be provided.
General office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Volunteer times are flexible during these hours, however we ask that you commit to the days and times set in order to assure proper coverage. Family Volunteer Day is a day that celebrates the power of individuals and families who work together to support their neighbors in need here on the Treasure Coast who may not know where their next meal is coming from.
The first Saturday of each month, families use this day to teach children valuable, real life lessons about compassion and caring as we work together to sort food and non-food items, bag pet food, pack backpacks, and pack senior and veterans boxes for those struggling with the issue of hunger. As an individual or family, volunteering can be a great way to develop skills, learn more about their community and make friends. We are a non-profit, grassroots organization that reaches people all along the Treasure Coast in Indian River, St. Lucie, and Martin counties. We are looking for volunteers to join our efforts in each county. There is NO FEE to join and no mandatory commitment.
