“Where kids can learn, experience, and play. We will be offering crafts, such as making MFI buttons to take home, or coloring and constructing their own airplanes out of paper, Styrofoam, and wood. We will also be having an airplane flying contest, where kids can show off their folding and flying skills. Plane rides: $20 per person, or $40 per family. See a bit of the Treasure Coast from the windows of an MFI turbine DC-3.

There will be an avionics table where kids can have a hands on experience and broader understanding of aircraft mechanics, or they can pretend to be a pilot with our photo booth cut out of one of our DC-3 planes. It wouldn't be a kid zone without a face painter, and don't forget the sweets like cotton candy and popcorn, but don't worry parents we will also have a bounce house as well, surely to make any energetic child go home happy and tired.

The demonstrations will include the PSL Police SWAT Team, the Florida Fire Marshall’s burn trailer, St Lucie County Fire Districts Jaws of Life, St Lucie County Sheriff’s K-9 Unit and more.  The event will provide attendees information on home, water, auto, child, hurricane, ID safety and more. The event will bring together organizations and agencies from throughout St Lucie County to provide valuable safety information that affects everyone.

Some of the participating organizations include:  St Lucie County Sheriff, St Lucie County Fire District, Port St Lucie Police, Emergency Management Services, St Lucie Kids Safety Coalition, St Lucie Public Schools, Division of Forestry, Coast Guard Auxiliary, Blood One, Treasure Coast Toyota, Southern Eagle Distributing, Boys & Girls Clubs of St Lucie County, Parenting Academy, Fish & Wildlife Commission, SLC Reading Program, Real Stone & Granite, Seacoast Bank, SLC Education Foundation and many others.
