We provide a clean, safe environment for dogs of all sizes to roam freely in an off-leash 5 acre green space along the Indian River Lagoon. Our Dog Park provides two fenced exercise areas for both large and small dogs. All owners are required to mind their dogs at all times in and around the Dog Park area as well as have current vaccinations. 2PM - 6PM. Be A Hero To A Pet In Need. Registration begins at 1:30PM at Cobb's Landing or pre-register at www.hsslc.org under the events tab. For a $20 donation, participants 21 years and older, will gain VIP access to four bars in downtown Fort Pierce. This includes drink specials at each stop and a commemorative Koozie. There will be a 50/50 raffle and a Superhero costume contest.
The Pup Crawl begins at Cobb's Landing then heads over to 2nd Street Bistro, Sailfish Brewing Company, Inc., and ends at Pierced Cider. This event is dog friendly, but dogs must remain on a leash and owners must be responsible for their pet at all times.
This year's theme is Be a Hero in a Pet's Life and we encourage everyone to dress them and their pet in their best superhero disguise. at the Fort Pierce Marina, 3PM - 7PM. "This fun filled day will include activities, music, food, pet vendors, a pet parade, doggie fashion show, and much more. Approximately 5,000 people and hundreds of dogs are expected to attend.
Another highlight of this event will be the celebration honoring and remembering our 9/11 Patriots, Wounded Warriors, Purple Heart, Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion members, as well as our Armed Forces, Fire Fighter, and Law Enforcement. We take great pride in honoring the brace men and women who sacrifice for our Country. If there is someone special you would like to see honored please forward their name along with a brief explanation as to why.
We need your support. It is through the generous efforts of individuals like you that numerous foundations are aided. We are extremely grateful for your participation and caring spirit that has aided us in our ability to reach out to those in need.
