The card is $11 for St Lucie residents, and $21 for those who are not county residents annually, or $6/day. Helmets required for ALL skaters. Volunteer at Tradition Medical Center - Martin Health Auxilliary
"Martin Health System teenage volunteer program is designed to give students the opportunity to volunteer in a hospital environment. In order to assure that Martin Health maintains its high quality of service to the community, our teenage volunteers are selected on a competitive basis."

Today’s Auxiliary is made up of men and women from all walks of life and almost every occupation. Our volunteers are retired or working adults, college students and teenagers seeking to give back to their community. The Martin Health Auxiliary is one of the largest auxiliaries in the state of Florida, and has:

- More than 915 volunteers
- Almost 158,178 volunteer hours contributed annually
- More than $3.6 million in labor cost savings to Martin Health System in calendar year 2014.

"We do not accept volunteers who are required to volunteer as a condition of a court-ordered sentence.

Participation Requirements

To participate in the teenage volunteer program, students must be/have:

15 to 18 years of age
Minimum grade level of 9th grade
3.2 cumulative grade point average (as verified by a guidance counselor) on a standard diploma course of study", click here for more information.

Manatee Observation and Education Center
"The Manatee Observation and Education Center is an active environmental education center in Downtown Fort Pierce. We have our Exhibit Hall and our Vanishing Mermaid Gift Shop which both have ongoing needs for volunteers in many different capacities.  The shifts are 3 ½ or 4 hours each.  All prospective volunteers need to complete an application. Teens can be as young as 14 and all adults must complete a background check.

Our Exhibit Hall has opportunities for Greeters, Discovery Guides (explaining the exhibits to our guests), Roving Naturalist (outside position teaching about the Indian River Lagoon and spotting Manatees), Education Assistants (work with our education coordinator for special educational programs), Vanishing Mermaid Gift Shop Sales Assistant or Stock Assistant, Clerical Assistant (works in back office in a variety of positions).

Behind-the-Scenes Tour of the Research Station at the Smithsonian Marine Ecosystems Exhibit
2PM. Free event for individuals 14+. "Once a month we open our doors to the public to share current Smithsonian research on the plants and animals of the Indian River Lagoon and marine environments throughout the Caribbean. Friday Night Hoops at Stuart Middle School, 6PM - 9PM
(January 11, 2019 - March 22, 2019) FREE program for boys and girls grades 4 to 12. Join us on Fridays at the Stuart Middle School Gym for a night of skills, drills and a friendly pick up game. Each week students will engage in learning new basketball drills and refining their skills. This program is designed for all levels from beginners to the elite. Staff will encourage youth as well as teach them the importance of dedication, commitment and sportsmanship.

"What is STEAM Fest? STEAM Fest is about innovation, imagination and having K-12 students & their families explore the critical fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math in a fun, exciting and informal way with over 50 hands-on experiences, demonstrations, and activities.

Tickets must be purchased to attend. General Admission is only $5 per person. Ages 3 and under are FREE. Food available to purchase all day. There are only 1,500 tickets available. (Tickets not currently available for purchase.)

YDC (Youth Driven Cinema) Film Festival at The Lyric Theatre, 6PM - 7:30PM
Event begins at 6:30PM. "The Environmental Studies Center and Council proudly presents Youth Driven Cinema, a K-12 Environmental Film Festival. The film festival is the first event of its kind in Martin County.

The mission of Youth Driven Cinema is to engage the youth of Martin County by fostering community involvement and environmental awareness through the arts and sciences. Students not only enter their films, but help plan the film festival, and MC the event. The general public is encouraged to attend. Entry is free and donations will be accepted to support summer camp scholarships at the Environmental Studies Center.

Students' are welcome to enter a variety of film styles ranging from animation to short documentaries. This year’s theme is “Saving Florida’s Ecosystems.” The top five short films in four categories will be presented at the film festival. Prizes will be awarded to the top three films in each category.
