For the Reading Log information and a chance to win prizes, click here. Three different age groups and reading logs: Babies - grades 5, teens and adults. May 31, 2019 to August 10, 2019. Log your reading online , the Beanstack Tracker mobile app, or in the Summer Reading log folder available at any MCLS library location.

"A badge (in Beanstack) or sticker (in the Summer Reading log folder) will be earned for every 3 books read (up to a maximum of 9 books read). When 3 books have been read, show your badge or stickers to library staff to select your first FREE book prize.

Continue reading a total of 9 books in order to collect all 3 FREE book prizes. When you have read 10 books, show your completed reading log folder or Beanstack badges to library staff and receive an invitation to the Summer Reading Finale Party from any library location! A Universe of Food and Fun. "Attention space travelers! It’s a long way to the galaxies and you will need lots of good fuel to get there!  Join Marybeth Pena RN as our intergalactic team explores a universe of food and fun in preparation for journeys near and far.  Our coordinates are 5210, the principles of a healthy diet filled with delicious food, fun, and activity.

The program provides dynamic, hands-on learning activities, a family cooking class and opportunity to taste foods prepared during the program. Programs are free of charge. Mad Science Mission Moon. Presenter: Made Science of the Palm Beaches. Reach for the moon and probe the wonders of space as Mad Science takes you on a voyage of discovery. We'll travel 239,800 miles above the earth as we commemorate the 50th anniversary of landing on the moon. Our interactive, high energy show will explore the moon, principles of flight and even include some astronaut training! We'll propel our audience to the outer reaches of our solar system and ignite their imagination with interstellar space.

Snazz Up Your School Supplies. Registration begins 6/15/2019 at 8AM. Presenter: Melanie Daniels. Go back to school this year with some snazzy school supplies that you can tell your friends you decorated yourself!  Supplies to make a pencil case and a decorated notebook will be offered but you can bring any pencils, pens, notebooks, etc. to decorate as well. Space Songs. Space Songs at the Robert Morgade Library, 10:30AM - 11:30AM. Join us as Indian River State College’s Hallstrom Planetarium Director, Jon U. Bell, leads everyone in “Space Songs,” which he has written about the moon, the planets, the stars – even black holes! Bell is the “singing astronomer,” and his Astronomer’s Songbook contains such classics as, “The Stars That Guide Us,” “Ode to Planet Number Nine,” “Moon Rovers,” “Universe Calling,” and the ever-popular, “Ballad of the Hertzsprung-Russell Diagram.” Most of the songs are based on familiar tunes that are easy to sing and remember, so everyone can participate!
